RadioFrequency with Microneedling
RadioFrequency with Microneedling
Also known as Morpheus8, Scarlet, Explore etc, RadioFrequency with Microneedling treats the target areas through the rapid penetration of insulated micro-needles which create a tiny column to deliver a pulse of RF energy. This selectively degenerates old collagen fibres, promoting the construction of new collagen, tightening and rejuvenating the overall look of your skin.
Treatment FAQs
Fractional Radio Frequency has been gaining favour with practitioners and patients alike and has been shown to give impressive results on a wide range of skin types. Scarlet/Explore/Morpheus 8 brings both technologies tother, with low downtime. It works by delivering precise columns of micro-fractional bi-polar RadioFrequency energy to stimulate a range of results.
The fractional RF technology treats the target area through the rapid penetration of insulated microneedles without causing extensive damage to the epidermis. Through the action of the microneedles, a tiny column is created that facilitates healing and brings about a growth factor that develops the mechanism of natural recovery with the effect being similar to that of peeling, but with minimal impact on the epidermis.
At the same time, the device emits a high-tensioned RF pulse onto the treatment area. The fractional RF thermolysis occurs in the target area and selectively degenerates the collagen fibres between the superficial dermis and muscle band. The collagen fibres deteriorate, promoting the construction of new collagen through a stimulus of the fibroblasts.
RF Microneedling remodels ageing collagen to tighten and firm sagging skin, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. They can also be used to minimise pores and the appearance of scars to improve overall skin texture as well as improve skin tone, brightness and rejuvenation. The remodelling of collagen also allows modelling of contours and improvement in the appearance of cellulite.
RF Microneedling treatment is very well tolerated by most patients with topical anaesthetic cream and sometimes requires the use of over-the-counter pain medication one hour before treatment.
The results vary between individuals, but most patients report improvement in the skin texture within several days. As it takes some time for your body to produce collagen, the tightening effect and final results are going to appear gradually over six months.
Usually we recommend 3-4 sessions, every one to three months, depending on the treated skin conditions, are needed to provide significant results.
Immediately after the procedure there will be slight redness, or red squares and possibly minimal swelling, all of which should resolve either within a few hours or occasionally a few days. Despite the redness, you can resume normal activity immediately after treatment.
Treatment is not suitable for patients with the following conditions or issues:
Pregnancy/lactation, on a defibrillator, metal implants, pacemaker, auto immune disease, Roaccutane users, cancer or skin disease.
