Radiesse®
Radiesse® is a unique injectable aesthetic treatment that utilises a biocamptibale, biodegradable and resorbable ingredient that stimulates your body's own process of collagen formation. Dr Sebagh and his team of doctors find it to be a particularly effective treatment for remodelling and restoring crepey, thin and wrinkled neck skin in particular.
Treatment FAQs
Radiesse® is a unique injectable aesthetic treatment that utilises a biocamptibale, biodegradable and resorbable ingredient, Calcium Hydroxyapatite (CaHA). Upon injection, the CaHA gel matrix provides immediate improvement. CaHA particles then integrate into your skin and create a “scaffold” that stimulates production of collagen and elastin. As the gel carrier breaks down, a firm network of collagen fibres forms. The newly formed collagen and elastin replace the additional volume provided by the carrier gel, smoothing lines and promoting renewed skin structure.
Radiesse® is a fantastic treatment for remodelling and restoring crepey, thin and wrinkled neck skin.
Following a consultation, your doctor will inject a small amount of Radiesse® into the skin using a thin needle or cannula. Your doctor may gently massage the treatment area to ensure the product is evenly distributed. The treatment should take no longer than half an hour.
For neck rejuvenation, typically two treatment sessions are required spaced 3 months apart.
Radiesse® solution is blended with local anaesthetic and is injected underneath the skin using a very fine, flexible cannula making the procedure virtually painless.
Although some results will be visible immediately, the full effect of Radiesse® treatment will become apparent over a period of 3 to 4 months at which point there will be noticeably significant improvements to neck lines, skin laxity and dermal thickness.
The effects of Radiesse® neck rejuvenation typically last for at least a year, although some patients see the effects last much longer.
Treatment with Radiesse® is very safe and downtime is minimal, with most patients able to resume their daily activities immediately after treatment.
Common side effects are mild in nature and are no different to those associated with other injectable treatment. These include bruising, swelling, pain and itching at the site of the injection. Most side effects will resolve within 7 days or less but can take up to 28 days (at most).
You should avoid strenuous activity and extensive sun or heat exposure for at least 24 hours after treatment or until any swelling or redness has resolved.
You should avoid treatment with Radiesse® if you have an allergy to any component of the product (including lidocaine or similar anaesthetics), if you have a history of severe allergies, if you have a bleeding disorder, if you have an active skin infection or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
